There are so many choices when it comes to surround sound systems. I went with Yamaha because they have a great record of producing really quality speakers and amps. That is exactly what I got with this product. The amp is great, much better than cheaper systems, the speakers sound very nice, they produce excellent mid and high range sound. The subwoofer is perfectly adequate and rounds out the system very well. There are plenty of HDMI connections to plug in your peripherals. You will need to buy extra speaker wire if you have a large space. I have a small living room and I still needed more. The speaker wire they include is standard and is pretty low end but gets the job done if you don't want to cough up the money for pricy thick cables. I used it and everything sounds great. The automatic setup and speaker calibration is very easy to do and balances the system nicely. For the price this a really great little system. The piano black is very sharp looking as well.
