UPDATE (13 June 13): I contacted OPTOMA and they emailed back "For warranty repair please Go to our website at www.optomausa.com under support/ RMA //procedure. Fill out an RMA form and email it in with a copy of your receipt. We will issue you an RMA number and then you can have the unit sent in for service."

Not unreasonable in most situations but being stationed in Korea I didn't think to bring my receipt.

I decided to purchase a replacement lamp for $140.00(Awo-Lamps BL-FP240A Original Bulb/Lamp with Housing for OPTOMA TX631-3D TW631-3D Projector 150 Day Warranty); really easy to replace and cheaper now than when I bought it couple of weeks ago.

10-hours into using the new lamp, the picture quality is amazing. Surprisingly, the projector noise is almost silent. The fan only goes into a super jet powered spin mode when I turn the projector off. No noise or fan distractions anymore! This is the projector I should have received when I first bought...


I think, explains the few complaints regards Optoma TX631-3D, XGA, 3500 ANSI Lumens, 3D-Multimedia Projector not fitting or leaking.
