Review : Just average
I picked up this Sharp Aquos TV at our local department store just before Christmas. For around 500 dollars I thought it was a pretty good value on a brand name I could recognize. Unfortunately though I have not been overly impressed. I found the picture to be not as clear as the plasma tv it replaced and movie display seeming to be a little dark. The rear speakers are completely inadequate and I am currently testing sound bar options to supplement the built in speakers. The TV also lacks many inputs/outputs that are standard on most larger flat TVs. Most notibly it lacks the optical audio out used to connect most soundbars. Way to go Sharp!
I'm not sure I am keeping this set because of its deficiencies. Be sure and check your A/V input requirements before purchasing.
UPDATE AFTER 1 MONTH:
We decided to keep the TV. We are comfortable with the picture quality however the sound quality remains an issue. We have tried 2 soundbars so far and...
I think, explains the few complaints respecting 50 In. AQUOS 1080p LED HDTV with 60Hz not fitting or leaking.
Hope this 50 In. AQUOS 1080p LED HDTV with 60Hz comment was helpful!
