Review : Great starter unit
This was exactly what I was looking for. Came with a great receiver, the RX-V475 http://www.amazon.com/Yamaha-RX-V475-5-1-Channel-Network-Receiver/dp/B00B981F2O/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top
The speakers are decent and the subwoofer does the job. I probably would have rated this a 4 star based on the price, I got this from Best Buy online and price matched the YHT597 system for $400. But they sent me the new model, this one the YHT599 and kept the price. So at $400, the cost of just the receiver on Amazon I got 5 small speakers and a Subwoofer saving $150.

But regarding price, for this you are basically paying for the speakers at a $150 premium. That's an ok price. They do a fine job in a decently sized room and you can hear the sound from across the house. The setup was a breeze with the included microphone. I haven't bought new speaker wire though what is included does work fine and has enough wire for a decently sized room. The only real value in the speaker setup is the...
