Review : The sound IS better, but the lack of wireless access makes internet radio more difficult.
Positives
Setup is really easy and this is a big plus for AV receivers. You have to hook it up to a screen with and HDMI input to use the "on screen" setup, the "onscreen" is not on the receiver itself.

You use the included microphone, placing it in various locations where you will be sitting to listen and the setup app sends a series of strange whooping noises to the speakers so that you can hear if you have them hooked up properly and so that it can adjust the sound output for your room. We have a strange room with a high sloped ceiling and the receiver did seem to change how the system sounds in the room for the better. This system for calibration is call Audyssey and it seems to work well.

The spring loaded connections for the bare wire connectors for the speakers and it come with labels for your wires, which I thought was a nice touch. But they DO not accept banana plugs, so be aware of this if you have speakers with this sort of connection...
