Review : Works Flawlessly with U-Verse and All Other Components
When I recently had U-verse installed, I learned that 1) it uses an apparently new or uncommon IR protocol, and 2) plasma TVs put out a lot of interference. Like many u-verse users, my remote control worked inconsistently at best. Add to that the fact that all my A/V components sit hidden away on the other side of the wall, so I was using an IR Replicator which wasn't compatible with this new protocol, and was sending interference from the TV through to the other side of the wall. It was beyond frustrating to have to hit the remote control buttons several times (which becomes exponential frustration with a DVR when u need to go back from FF to Play!).

I was pointed toward the Niles Audio products on the AT&T forums, and even though the remote anywhere kit was a bit pricey, it was well worth it. Installation was actually fairly easy (I already had all my other wires running through the wall behind the TV that I ran the cat-5 for the IR Receiver through), and although it...
