Review : One of the best TVs ever made
Let me get this out of the way: My primary concern with a TV is first and foremost picture quality (PQ). Any apps, peripherals, features, etc. are all secondary to PQ. And as far as PQ goes, the ZT60 is the best TV I've ever seen. The colors are vibrant and accurate, the contrast is super, the shadow detail is fantastic and the blacks...well, all I can say is if I were asked how much blacker the TV could get I'd have to say, "None more black." :) The two THX modes (Cinema, Bright Room) look great right out of the box.
IMO 3D and apps are gimmicky so I don't pay much attention to those. Suffice to say you get the usual suite of streaming options on this TV, virtually all of which are better accessed via your Blu-ray player.
This TV compares well to the VT60 if 100% of your TV watching is in a very dark room. Otherwise the filter on the ZT does a better job blocking the light and maintaining the blacks. The VT does have better speakers and the pop up camera...
I think, explains the few gripe respecting Panasonic TC-P65ZT60 65-Inch 1080p 600Hz 3D Smart Plasma TV not fitting or leaking.
