Intro for Technically Inclined Audiophiles: My wonderful 3 Year Old Denon DBP4010UDCI Blu-Ray Player started to sound harsh and grainy at high SPLs, probably due to the Laser Assembly dying of Old Age, and causing too much Jitter, so I had to buy a new Primary Player with a Coaxial Digital Out to feed my Bryston BDA-1 DAC with Linear PCM via the SPDIF input.

CUT TO THE CHASE: The "Audiophile Audio"(Marantz' Description) and the Video of the UD7007 are absolutely first class, but be warned that just like any other High-End Equipment it looks and sounds better and better the longer you burn it in. Also, I would recommend you use the best HDMI 1.4 Cable you can afford: the Cardas Audio HDMI 1.4 IS robust, AND they will replace it FREE if you wreck it by mistake. The grey HDMI Cable which Marantz provides in Canada with the Player is just hopeless, and almost caused me to return the UD7007!!
