Review : I am IN LOVE with this thing!!!
I originally considered the iScan Duo because I was less than satisfied with the Marvell Qdeo processor in my Oppo BDP-93. It just didn't seem to scale and de-interlace as well as I had hoped. The sharpness introduced artifacts and the digital noise reduction gave me a bit too much blur and image instability. Since the Oppo also features a source direct output setting I started looking at outboard video processors that could do what I had hoped the Oppo would do..
After some intense Googling and heavy duty research on the audio visual boards I read I came up with two products, both made by DVDO. Upon further investigation I discovered that the Iscan Duo plus a decent color meter and calibration software could yield me professional results and do it pretty much automatically once I knew my way around the program. That sold me right there , plus I have used the ABT 2010 chip in other products and knew it pleased me more than the Marvell.
Folks, if you are OCD...
I think, explains the few complaints apropos DVDO iScan Duo High Definition Video Processor (Black) not fitting or leaking.
Hope this DVDO iScan Duo High Definition Video Processor (Black) review was usefull!
