Review : A very impressive projector.
I bought this projector as a replacement for a very old 720p model in my living room. It arrived in a couple of days, and I have used it for a month with a new Blue Ray player (through a long HDMI cord) connected to a ten-year-old Bose sound system by an optical sound cable.

The projector now sits on the floor in a near-central location, and the image on the wall is seemingly undistorted (even w/o deliberate correction). In addition to supporting Blue Ray resolution, Optoma TH1020 is fairly quiet while projecting a brighter and sharper image. I didn't expect the image to be so much larger -- it's almost too big for my living room, but provides a more convincing, immersive theatrical experience. One odd feature is that the fan sometimes gets loud for a few seconds when the projector is turned off (apparently, to quickly cool off the lens).

All other projectors I checked were either lacking in quality (resolution, brightness, contrast) or were too bulky or...


I think, explains the few gripe about Optoma TH1020, HD (1080p), 3000 ANSI Lumens, Multimedia Projector not fitting or leaking.
