The Kestrel mobile electric floor-rising screen is designed for executive presentations, formal functions or residential home theater rooms that require a flexible alternative to fixed wall or ceiling-mounted installations. The screen’s cross-rising apparatus is driven by a tubular motor with a superior weight tolerance and operational lifespan with variable height settings. Review : Excellent but expensive ...
This Elite screen is a great product, but it is expensive. My situation is that I wanted a home theater screen without having to re-engineer the living room. I looked at manual and electric ceiling/wall mounted screens but it would have meant some serious engineering work to get the job done right. I then looked at manual floor mounted screens, from Elite, Da-Lite. They all use either the scissor or single mount system. They all worked well, however once you get up to larger screen sizes, I found the screen would either tip forward or have pretty significant waves in the screen which isn't ideal. My last chance was this floor mounted electric screen. Whereas the manual floor screens are quite light and portable, this screen isn't. Its heavy ... which is a good and bad thing. Its good, in that the screen is very stable, no waves and no tipping. Bad if you plan to move it around. You can, and it does have a handle, but still heavy :-)

Is it worth the price .. ? Yes, and No...
