Review : Expensive, sound is great, mounting options are tough.
Bottom line: I really love the sound, and that's the idea, right?

I opened the box and began to set everything up. The first thing I encountered was the remote didn't work. I tried all sorts of batteries in it to no avail. Luckily I have a Harmony remote, so I was able to add the device to that (actually a previous model because this one was so new). Later, I called support and they FedExed me a new remote with little effort on my part.

Some things to note:

- The rear speakers do have to plug into a receiver - they aren't standalone. In the product image, it's that skinny box to the right of the actual blu-ray player. This wasn't that big of a deal for me and actually worked out well in my basement with drop ceilings, but I imagine that could break someone's heart if they weren't aware of it.

- The rear speakers have weird mounting holes. So, I purchased some mounting arms from Best Buy that have all sorts of different ways to connect to the...


I think, explains the few complaints about Samsung HT-F6500W 5.1 Channel 1000-Watt 3D Blu-Ray Home Theater System not fitting or leaking.
